When Cisco was founded 15+ years ago they really never envisioned the used cisco issue getting so large. They were going along developing the products that are the backbone of the internet super highway and the networks we all take for granted today.In fact, in 2001 when addressing the Cisco sales teams all over the world , John Chambers announced that Cisco would be the first trillion dollar market cap company. There has never been a company in the history of the stock market that has every had a stock market value of a trillion dollars. After this speech Cisco was in fact had the largest market cap in the world for almost 3 months.
